Arabic Cuisine

Below are some of the foods eaten by the Arab nomads during the middle ages. Originally Arab food was the food of the desert nomads. Try out these Arabic recipes (^_~)

Burghul (bulghur wheat, bulgar)

Parboiled and dried wheat kernels processed into grain, used in tabbouleh and mixed with lamb in kibbeh

Cardamom

Aromatic spice, member of the ginger family, used to flavour Arabic coffee, yoghurt and stews

Coriander (cilantro)

Lacy, green-leaf relative of the parsley family with an extremely pungent flavour akin to a combination of lemon, sage and caraway.

Kibbeh (kibbe)

Oval-shaped nuggets of ground lamb and burghul

Kibbeh Naye

Raw kibbeh, eaten like steak tartar

Cooked dish of pasta, rice and lentils to which, onions, chillis and tomato paste are added

Kouzi

Whole lamb baked over rice so that rice absorbs the juice of the meat

Fingers, balls or a flat cake of minced meat and spices that can be baked or charcoal-grilled on skewers

Laban

Tangy-tasting sour milk drink widely used in cooking as a substitute for milk

Thick creamy cheese, often spiced and used as a dip

Dalam jarak kurang lebih 6 meter dengan kecepatan 80km/jam, waktu seperti di perlambat.
Ak bs mengingat semua kejadian dari balita hingga detik itu.
Ak tak lagi ingat dosa2 yang tlah kuperbuat.
Ak hanya bicara dlm hati, "Ak tak mau mMejamkan mataku, ak ingin mLihat caraku mati.
Dgn cara ini kah, ak mati ya Allah? Klo mmg bGini, ak rela.."
Buru2 ak mBaca 2 kalimat syahadat krn kata tmnku, klo baca itu qta dapet freepas msk sorga =p

Kulihat sinar matahari, dgn tanah bTebaran dAtasku.
Saat itu ak sadar.. "Ya, Allah! Ak msh hidup!!!" Buru2 kubaca Al- fatehah sbg tanda syukur.
Wlopun ak tak tau apa yg tJadi pd diriku saat itu.
Krumunan org mDatangiku, kudengar mreka triak "Camera3x!"
Langsung ak dAngkat kMbl mreka. Kudengar lg mreka triak, "ada 1 org lg! Ada 1 org lg!!"
dDlm mbl ak bKata pelan," Ga ada.. ga ada lg. Cm saya.. cm saya. Tas, tas saya.. HP, Mama .. Tlp Mama.."
Yg kupikirkan saat itu mmg, Mama. Ak takut dMarahi Mama.
Krn slm ini ak sllu mBungkam klo ak hbs tabrakan. Smua ku slesaikan sndri.
Tp klo bGni critanya.. rasanya tak mgkin ak mNgelak. Krn mmg smpt kulihat, mblku hancur.

Sesaampainya di RS, aku di bawa ke UGD.
Di sana ak langsung mendapatkankan prawatan.
Kulihat camera masih saja, mengintaiku. Sempat aku bertanya, "siapa mreka..?"

Tak lama, Mamaku datang disusul Papa dan para dokter!
Mama menangis, tapi tidak denganku.
Aku tidak boleh cengeng, nanti hanya akan menambah bebannya.
Dokter mNgatakan ak hrs dInfus, tp ak mNolak.
Ak blg, "Saya gpp kok Dok, ga perlu dInfus. Dokter bs liat kan, saya baik2 sj".
Stelah debat bla3x,, Dokter br mNgatakan bhw tangan kiriku patah, remuk pula!
Ak pun terdiam, diam & diam.....

Alhamdulillah, operasi bJalan lancar .
Mama mulai mJelaskan bhwa yg mNolongku adl kru salah 1 stasiun TV yg kBetulan sdg syuting dSberang TKP. Org2 itu pula, lah yg mNlp Mm pke HPku.
Di dalam camera itu terlihat jelas bahwa ak terlempar dari jendela sbelah kiri.
Baru setelah itu mobil nabrak trotoar, pBatas, pagar, pohon, dan mobil terbalik 2x.
Mereka mLihat ada 1 org lg dDlm, padahal aku sendiri.

Klo mmg kLuar dr kaca, tak ada bekas apapun dWajah maupun bdnku.
Tgn jg klo ga dBelek Dokter, ga kLiatan besetannya.
Mobilku saat itu bAda dDlm tol dgn kondisi mbl lalu lalang tp tdk mNgenai mbl lain.
Tol gtu looooch,,, where cars sliweran tanpa batas.

Dan sumpah demi Allah! Waktu itu aku sendiri.
Memang yg kurasakan saat itu aneh!
Saat ak tdk mau mmJamkan mata,
Sperti ada yg mMintaku, "Pejamkan matamu!"
Yg tAkhir kulihat saat itu, hy angin. Angin yg bHembus sgt kncang!
Saat ak sadar.. ak tGeletak dRumput, sprti ada yg mLetakkanku dgn lembut.
